Giizhik: Bringing Indigenous Representation to Life
We created our dolls offering children authentic Indigenous representation rooted in respect and cultural truth. This is Giizhik (pronounced Ghee-zhick) — "cedar" in Anishinaabe — a powerful medicine and our first doll friend.
Giizhik is here to share her story and heritage. She wears a beautifully crafted ribbon skirt- a powerful symbol of womanhood, identity, and resilience passed on from the Grandmothers before her. She also features long braided hair that she grows to keep connected to her teachings .
